Harlots's third season has begun and yes, I'm super excited to see what this one brings...join in now if you haven't already!

The Favorite Review

I've just seen the movie The Favorite starring Olivia Coleman as Queen Anne Stuart, Rachel Weisz as her close friend Lady Sarah Marlborough, and Emma Stone as her cousin Abigail Masham. The basic plot is Abigail, newly come to court,  is a former lady whose family has fallen on hard times. Lady Marlborough pretty much runs the country for her ill, mentally and emotionally fragile friend. However, Abigail manages to win over the queen and begins to fight to keep her place bringing on a subtle war between the two. I found it good, witty,  and a bit more highbrow than I anticipated,  which was a good thing, though I will say I found the ending a bit too ambiguous, and I'm not sure if it was meant to be like that or not. I give it 3 and a half out of five stars. If your a fan of this era of British history and/or these actors, definitely see it.
